Guidelines

  1. All Penaire litters will be bred to conform as closely as possible to the Standard of Excellence of its breed.
  2. Airedale Terrier hips are x-rayed in all breeding stock for signs of HD (hip dysplasia) and are sent to the Orthopedic Foundation for animals (OFA) for certification.
  3. All puppies will be sold with contracts clearly stating all terms of placement. It will include a spay-neuter agreement or AKC non-breeding registration for companions. Also, there will be a stipulation that the animal be returned to the breeder if circumstances change and the buyer is no longer able to keep it.
  4. All prospective buyers will be completely educated as to the nature and special needs of the Airedale Terrier.
  5. Every litter must be carefully evaluated for behavioral characteristics. All puppies will be temperament tested.
  6. To ensure the availability of a Penaire Airedale Terrier, a deposit may be made before the time of purchase.
